Founder & CEO • Adult Reconstruction / Total Joint Replacement Surgeon

Helping patients throughout Northwestern Pennsylvania regain mobility through muscle-sparing hip replacement, personalized knee replacement, same-day joint replacement for appropriate candidates, and a Whole Health approach to surgical optimization and recovery.

Meet Dr. Ryan G. Molli

Dr. Ryan G. Molli is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Whole Health Orthopedic Institute, which opened in January 2018. A native of Northwestern Pennsylvania, Dr. Molli returned to the region after advanced fellowship training with a clear vision: to build a joint replacement center focused on subspecialty orthopedic care, patient education, medical optimization, and an exceptional surgical experience from the first visit through recovery.

Dr. Molli completed his undergraduate education at Mercyhurst College and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, Pennsylvania. He completed a five-year orthopedic surgery internship and residency through St. John Providence Health System in the Metro-Detroit area, additional AO Trauma fellowship training in Grenoble, France, and a one-year Adult Reconstruction / Total Joint Fellowship at Joint Implant Surgeons in New Albany, Ohio.

After fellowship, Dr. Molli practiced as an adult reconstruction specialist in the Metro-Detroit area before returning to Meadville in 2015. He later founded Whole Health Orthopedic Institute to advance a more complete model of joint replacement care built around risk stratification, medical optimization, comprehensive education, same-day surgical pathways for appropriate patients, and ongoing improvement through research, data, and innovation.

His clinical focus is adult reconstruction and total joint replacement, including primary hip and knee replacement as well as complex revision hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr. Molli is also known for THE Beach-Cut Hip™ and Jiffy Knee™, branded surgical approaches aligned with Whole Health’s goal of helping patients recover efficiently, move confidently, and return to the activities that matter most.

A Whole Health Approach to Joint Replacement

Whole Health Orthopedic Institute was built around the idea that excellent orthopedic outcomes start before surgery and continue long after the operating room. Dr. Molli’s approach combines advanced hip and knee reconstruction with patient education, medical optimization, functional recovery planning, and a coordinated team experience.

  • Pre-operative risk stratification and medical optimization to help patients prepare for surgery.
  • Comprehensive education so patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, surgery plan, and recovery expectations.
  • Same-day joint replacement pathways for appropriate candidates.
  • Muscle-sparing surgical techniques designed to reduce tissue disruption and support recovery.
  • A long-term view of mobility, strength, health, and quality of life.
